Our Kid’s Ministry

Scripture shows that God has a deep concern for children, so our children’s ministry holds a very high priority and focus.

How It Works

LH Kids lasts for the entire service, so while the parents worship and hear the word, the kids are doing the same.

Classes are structured in the following age groups

Nursery  |  2s  | 3s  |  Pre-K  |  Kindergarten  |  1st Grade  | 2nd Grade  |  3rd Grade  |   4th/5th Grade

Curriculum

The focus of our Kid’s Ministry is simple but extremely important: teach our children God’s Truth. We do so with a Biblically saturated curriculum taught by devoted christian teachers.

FIRST LOOK

First Look is for our kids in Pre-K and younger. The mission of this curriculum is to give “children a first impression of their heavenly Father and the wonder of His love for each of them” (First Look). Our goal with this age group is to have them understand by the time they are 6 years old:

1. God made me.   2. God loves me.  3. Jesus wants to be my friend.

252 BASICS

252 Basics is for Kindergarten – 5th Grade. The mission of this curriculum is to introduce “children to the vibrant truths of Jesus” and invite kids “to live out their new understanding of how to grow in relationship with God and with others” (252 Basics). The name 252 comes from Luke 2:52 which states, “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.” We want our kids to model Jesus with three basic truths:

1. I need to make a wise choice. — 2. I can trust God no matter what. — 3. I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

PARENT INVOLVEMENT

The most effective way to teach our kids all these Truths is to have partnership with you, the parents! We will have a variety of ways to keep you involved through handouts, emails, web videos, etc. We know that weekend services are not enough to ingrain these Truths in your kids, so we would love to work with you and share ways to continue teaching what was shown on the weekend throughout the week!
